Dezombification 2012
Prominently featuring weird science and the harvest of living souls...

— Although almost entirely unnoticed, I have not been creating many photographs recently. My website has been online, but without life (or content). My studio has stood empty. My tools have been ready at hand, but unused. Inspiration has been acculumating, but I haven't been able to consume it. If creativity were a body, mine would be malnourished, contusioned, and a bit rotten at the edges… but strength and irrational hunger have been building within. The whole situation is like that one lonely zombie left lurking in the back of some seemingly deserted gas station, waiting to lurch forward in attack the moment that some unsuspecting person wanders by in search of a fill-up or a post-apocalyptic snack.

I love the idea of shotgunning zombies as much as anyone could, but this one musn't be dramatically dispatched with the swagger and cool aplomb of a motion picture hero. This little zombie's disease must be cured, its body healed… dezombified, with the passionate fanaticism and unconventional technique of a motion picture mad scientist.

My absence from photography was unpleasant and somewhat involuntary, but I hope to have put it behind me. I've been back hard at work now for several months, to ensure the continuation of my studio and repair my creative infrastructure. Going into 2012, I will be back behind the camera and creating new work. The first (public) step is this unofficial pre-launch of this new website in order to help facilitate forthcoming projects. The official (and announced) launch of this website will coincide with the debut of new work.

So for those of you who have cared enough to read this, or even to check in at all, thank you! I hope to have something good for you soon!
